Professional experience

Luis Padilla Jr. is a partner with the firm of Lindner & Marsack, S.C. He has practiced in management-side labor relations for many years, leading internal labor and employment operations with municipal government, national health care providers, utilities and private sector employers around the country. His negotiations experience is varied, having served successfully as first chair and chief spokesperson in collective bargaining on behalf of municipal, multinational and regional employers. He has successfully represented employers in grievance arbitrations and union organizing campaigns, has assisted unionized clients with contract interpretation and administration, and defended clients against unfair labor practice charges and in representation matters before the National Labor Relations Board. He has also worked with businesses on due diligence matters in mergers and acquisitions for national health care providers.

Luis has also advised employers and created hiring methodologies assisting employers with recruiting, hiring, discipline, and termination decisions. He has crafted presentations and conducted training for management personnel and has conducted numerous harassment and other investigations and provided counsel on appropriate disciplinary actions consistent with investigation outcomes. Luis has also served as lead counsel in disciplinary hearings; and provides interpretative and administrative advice concerning terms and conditions of collective bargaining agreements.
