{"id":559,"date":"2019-04-08T13:42:21","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T18:42:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lindner-marsack.com\/news\/?p=559"},"modified":"2025-11-26T11:08:05","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T17:08:05","slug":"updated-eeo-1-reporting-requirements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lindner-marsack.com\/news\/updated-eeo-1-reporting-requirements","title":{"rendered":"Updated EEO-1 Reporting Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On March 5, 2019, a Federal Judge\nreinstated the EEO-1 pay data reporting requirement for all covered employers.\nCovered employers include employers with over 100 employees or federal\ncontractors with 50 or more employees\nand a government contract worth $50,000\nor more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EEO-1, otherwise known as The Employer Information Report, is a\ncompliance survey which is to be submitted to the U.S. Equal Employment\nOpportunity Commission (the \u201cEEOC\u201d) and the Department of Labor&#8217;s Office of\nFederal Contract Compliance Programs annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For employers already required to\nsubmit an EEO-1 report, the March 5<sup>th<\/sup> reinstatement now requires EEO-1\nComponent 2 (the pay data reporting requirement) to also be submitted. On April\n3, 2019, the EEOC filed a proposal extending the deadline to complete EEO-1\nComponent 2 to September 30, 2019. The Federal Judge will now assess the EEOC\u2019s\nproposal and issue an order regarding the proposal and extended deadline. It is\nrecommended employers start taking the necessary steps to gather relevant pay\ndata and prepare for the obligation to file EEO-1 Component 2 in 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Importantly, the Federal Judge\u2019s\nreinstatement of EEO-1 Component 2 reporting does not in any way alter the\ndeadline to file an employer\u2019s annual EEO-1 report.
